About Little Rembrandt
Little Rembrandt is owned and operated by Westchester County native Nancy LoCascio. Before opening Little Rembrandt in 1987, Nancy had always enjoyed planning elaborate, creative parties for her children at her home in Scarsdale. However, she began to notice the wear and tear that these parties were taking on her home. This prompted her to open a space of her own where she could share her unique party planning talents with others.
Nancy was trained as a teacher, and is certified by the College of New Rochelle in elementary education, art education (elementary-12th grade), and Montessori.
Among her many talents, Nancy is extremely passionate when it comes to her love of art and her love of educating children. But above all, Nancy has a unique and distinct gift of connecting and building long-lasting relationships with her students and their parents. In fact, many adults who grew-up taking art classes or having their birthday parties at Little Rembrandt often introduce their own children to this magical place by hosting their parties there, stopping in regularly to paint, or simply to have a visit with Nancy.
Among Little Rembrandt’s many accolades, Westchester Magazine recognized Little Rembrandt as the “Best Pottery Place”, and Westchester Family Magazine gave Little Rembrandt the “Family Favorite” award.
