OUR WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN:

*Traditional Spring Sessions: 03/31/11 to 06/16/11

Picasso, Pollack, Monet and Me! (Ages 7 – 11) $275

Monday 4:00 – 5:00
It’s like Art History 101 for little juniors. Learning disguised as
fun is the promise of this class as we cover a new artist each week.
Each class will begin by discussing the artist, showing the students
some of their work(s) and finish with the children doing their own
version of that artists work. Children will be carefully instructed to
use the technique of the artist they are studying to create their own
mini masterpieces.  At the end of the semester we will host a “gallery
showing” at Little Rembrandt whereby parents and guests can come by
and view their children’s masterpieces.

Pop Culture and Art  (Ages 5 – 8)                     $275

Wednesday 4:00 – 5:00
Now-a-days kids can’t get enough of pop culture whether we parents
like it or not. So here at Little Rembrandt we’ve decided to create a
class that uses current movies, music & more as a springboard to
unlocking their creativity. Whether it be creating cardboard guitars
while listening to Taylor Swift or making miniature clay Smurfs the
week that the new Smurf movie releases, your child is sure to have a
good time in this class.

Beading is the Bomb!  (Ages 5-8)                        $275

Thursday 4:00 – 5:00
Kids love to string beads. Whether it is a simple necklace, an
intricate bracelet, there is something about beading that children
could do it for hours on end. For us educators, we love the hand eye
coordination and patterning basics that comes from it.  We’ll make
necklaces, bracelets and adorable barrettes using big, small, glass,
plastic and everything in between beads.

Mommy and Me (Ages 18 months – 3 years old) $295

Wednesday 9:45am-10:30am
In this mommy and me class, both are able to explore their creative
side while spending some quality time.  At this age we like to spend
time focusing on developing fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination,
language and everything else that is bursting inside your little one
ready to come out.  Using the medium of art as a vehicle, your little
one is sure to have lots of fun.

Pre-school (Ages 3 – 4 years old)                    $275

Thursday 12:30 – 1:15 and 1:30pm – 2:15 pm
In this class your child will develop basic art skills that they will
use as the foundation for years to come. This class uses a variety of
materials which keeps things exciting.  The smaller class size allows
students to receive individual attention while benefiting from a group
environment in which they are able to share ideas and inspiration.

Learn to Draw (Ages 6 and up)                          $275

Tuesday 3:30pm – 4:15pm
The ability to draw things that you see in your environment is a true
gift. In this class learn to draw class we offer step by step lessons
for the beginner drawer. The class will help your child develop
confidence in both drawing and creative expression. In addition, it
will prepare them for forthcoming book reports and school projects and
who doesn’t need that.
